Occupy Poughkeepsie Evicted but not dead
About 3 a.m. this morning Poughkeepsie Police moved in and ‘peacefully’ asked the occupiers to leave… The group was ready for this. I met with MoveOn Ulster council and members of Occupy Poughkeepsie last night in Kingston. Already the OPK group were having their ‘GA’ and other meetings at Vassar College, the public library and some people’s homes.
Spent all day in NYC with the NYS ‘Senior Action Council’ in support of OWS.. we met with a panel of Occupy WallStreet NYC…and then a rally in Zuccotti park… it was called ‘Intergenerational’… (is that legal?) Monday, November 21, 2011. I thank Kathie Abermann for driving us all to Beacon, where we took the Metro North to Grand central and then way down to Wall st,/Broadway and the Amalgamated bank building…where the meeting took place, not far from Zuccotti park.
